The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years and must not exceed 30 years. The minimum age of a candidate shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.01.2023. The maximum age shall not be more than 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1993 and not later than 01.01.2002 both days inclusive only are eligible) Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) /Confirmed LIC employees shall be as under :

LIC AAO Educational Qualification

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute. The educational qualification mentioned should be from a University/Institute/ Board recognized by Govt. of India / approved by the Government Regulatory bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 01.01.2023. Proper documents from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.01.2023 have to be submitted at the time of the interview. 

LIC AAO 2023 Selection Process

LIC AAO Selection will be done on the basis of three-phase examination i.e. Preliminary Examination (Phase I), Main Examination (Phase II) and Interview followed by Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination. Marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview will be considered for the final merit listing of candidates (Final Selection).

LIC AAO 2023 Exam Pattern

LIC AAO 2023 will be conducted in two phases: Prelims and Mains.

LIC AAO Prelims Exam 2023

The Written Exam will contain 3 sections namely: Reasoning, English Language Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total duration of the written exam will be 1 hour or 60 minutes. 0.25 marks will be deducted if a candidate attempts a question wrong. The Preliminary Examination consisting of an objective test will be conducted online. The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Note: English Language Test will be of qualifying nature and marks in the Language section will not be counted for ranking.

LIC AAO Mains Exam 2023

The main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks. The objective test will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

1. Descriptive tests of the English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.

2. The candidates are required to qualify for each of the Tests. Candidates will have to qualify for each of the objective tests. 
3. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for the main examination. ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. 
4. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added for the selection and the final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Main Examination (Phase II) marks obtained in the Interview.

LIC AAO 2023 Syllabus

The Syllabus for LIC AAO 2023 exam includes Reasoning, Quantitative, General/Financial Awareness, English language, Professional knowledge, and current affairs. LIC AAO 2023 Salary

The salary structure for LIC AAO has also been changed this year. The basic pay of Rs. 53600/- per month in the scale of Rs. 53600- 2645(14) –90630– 2865(4) –102090 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximate Rs 92870/- per month in A-Class city.

On appointment as a Probationary Development Officer, basic pay of Rs. 35650/- per month (except for Employee Category candidates) on the scale of Rs. 35,650-2200(2)-40,050-2595(2)-45,240-2645(17)-90,205 and other admissible allowances as per rules shall be payable. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale, inclusive of House Rent Allowance& City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city, will be approximately Rs. 56000/- in ‘A’ Class City. 2nd Phase- Associateship Diploma – 250 credit points(including the credit points at Licentiate level)

Each subject of study is assigned credit points . The credit points are assigned, keeping in view, the level of examination and the difficulty level of the subject. Candidates shall be allowed to appear only for a maximum 6 papers in one examination. However, certain subjects will be compulsory i.e. if the candidate does not pass the compulsory subjects, in spite of accumulating credit points, he/she will not be granted Licentiate Certificate, Associateship and/or Fellowship Diploma.

It is necessary to pass the Licentiate Examination before registration for the compulsory subjects of the Associateship. Similarly, Candidates who have passed Associateship examination only will be allowed to register for the compulsory subjects at the Fellowship level.
